NB 1

NB I is the highest division in Hungarian football league system and it`s represented by 12 clubs. During the season they play 22 matches, 1 “home” and 1 “away” against every other member of the division, ranked in season table according to points won. At the end of the season the club with most points won became champion of Hungary and can take participation in UEFA Champion League. The second and the third clubs are registered for UEFA Europa League. Last two teams form end-season table are demoted to lower football division named NB II and their spots in NB I are taken from top two teams in NB II.
